Nguyen Thanh Giang

Artist • Lecturer • Creative Partner Ms. Nguyen Thanh Giang is a distinguished Vietnamese artist and lecturer in the Lacquer Department at the University of Industrial Fine Arts. She graduated as valedictorian in Traditional Fine Arts in 1997 and later became a Master’s degree holder and university lecturer at the same institution. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports, and Tourism, specializing in art theory and history, with a focus on applied lacquer art. With more than twenty years dedicated to lacquer art, Ms. Thanh Giang has developed a distinctive artistic language shaped by traditional Vietnamese techniques and contemporary sensibilities. Her work has earned repeated recognition from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, including an award for her piece “Still Life Flowers” at the “Spring” Exhibition in 2010 and further honors in 2011, 2013, and 2014 for her contributions to decorative arts. She also represented Vietnam internationally at the 5th Beijing International Art Biennale in 2012 with the work “Nature’s Vitality.” As a creative partner of our company for TEDhome’s handicrafted collections, Ms. Thanh Giang leads a network of artists, lecturers, and young practitioners. Under her guidance, they work closely with our skilled craftspersons to transform artistic concepts into elegant, high-quality handcrafted pieces. They also provide original and commissioned paintings in oil, lacquer, and acrylic, enriching TEDhome’s offerings for home décor and refined living.
